Hildur Guðnadóttir

Hildur Guðnadóttir was born in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1982. She trained in classical cello, releasing her debut album in 2006 under the name Lost in Hildurness. The album, 'Mount A', was recorded in New York and Iceland and featured the tracks 'Light', 'Shadowed' and 'Reflection'. Her second album, 'Without Sinking', was released in 2009 followed by 'Leyfðu Ljósinu' in 2012 and 'Saman' in 2014. She is also a renowned film composer, scoring for 'The Bleeding House' in 2011, 'The Oath' in 2016 and 'Sicario: Day of the Soldado' in 2018. Her big break came in 2019 when she received the commission to score the music for Todd Phillips' thriller 'Joker' starring Joaquin Phoenix. In the same year she scored the hit television series 'Chernobyl'.
