Holy Holy

The rock band Holy Holy formed in 2011 when Australian musicians and songwriters Timothy Carroll and Oscar Dawson connected in Sweden and began working on material together after having met before when both spent time teaching in Asia. They moved back to their home country in 2013 and began performing live there, eventually landing a recording contract and releasing their debut LP, The Pacific, in 2014. They eventually brough aboard bassist Graham Ritchie and drummer Ryan Strathie, as well as Matt Redlich to augment the bands live shows with his keyboard skills. With Redlich as producer, the band recorded their debut album, 2015’s When the Storms Would Come which hit number 11 on the Australian album chart thanks to it’s psychedelic mix of indie-minded rock and country. After a heavy round of touring they went back into the studio and emerged with 2017’s Paint, which peaked at number 7 and included their best-selling single to that point, True Lovers”. 2019’s My Own Pool of Light hit number 14 and was nominated for the Best Rock Album award at that year’s ARIA Music Awards. 2021’s Hello My Beautiful World became their biggest charting LP rising to number 4.
