Isabel Parra

Isabel Parra is a Chilean singer-songwriter who is the daughter of famed singer-songwriter Violeta Parra, who died in 1967. Her entire family have been performers and artists including her late brother, folk singer Angel Parra. She began performing as a teenager and started her recording career with an eponymous album in 1966 followed in 1968 by 'Isabel Parra Vol. II'. Like others in her family, she was exiled from Chile during the Pinochet dictatorship, living in France and Argentina. Other albums include 'Songs of Violetta Parra' (1977), 'Isabel Parra en Cuba' (1978) with Patricio Castillo, 'You Will Is Stronger than Exile' (1983), 'Colors' (2000) and 'Nor all the Earth Complete' (2003).
