J.Howell

An R&B singer with multiple Top 40 singles on the American R&B charts, J.Howell was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up performing at open mic nights and poetry events, which helped him build an audience organically. "Talk," his debut single, was released in 2019. Featuring Kyle Hippy, the song peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart in December, eventually spending a total of 20 weeks on the chart. "Talk" also appeared on J.Howell's full-length debut album, RedRoom, which was released in August 2019 and spawned a pair of additional hit singles. "Faithful" and "Something About Ya" climbed to numbers 34 and 22, respectively, on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. J.Howell released an acoustic version of RedRoom as a slimmed-down EP in 2020, along with non-album singles like "Hard Day" and the holiday song "Let It Snow." "Why You Hurting Me" and "Let It Die" followed in 2021. Honest, J.Howell's second album, was released in 2022, featuring a 19-song track list that included the hit "Why You Love Me." A duet with Dondria, "Why You Love Me" entered the Adult R&B Airplay chart in late 2023 and climbed to number 25 that December. Also appearing on Honest was "Right For Me," which spent 11 weeks on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and peaked at number 27.
