Jung Kyung Ho

Although best known as an actor, Jung Kyung Ho has maintained a parallel career as a singer, often contributing music to the soundtracks of South Korean television shows and movies in which he also stars. He was born in on Gwangmyeong, South Korea, on August 31, 1983. Although his father Jung Eul-young, was the director of award-winning TV shows like My Husband's Woman and My Kids Give Me a Headache, Jung Kyung Ho was discouraged from pursuing a career in acting. Going against his parents' wishes, he studied theater at Chung-Ang University and made his acting debut in 5 Stars. The show's original soundtrack also featured his first debut recording, also titled "5 Stars." That same year, he earned a KBS Drama Award nomination for "Best New Actor" for his appearance in the TV series I'm Sorry, I Love You, and also sang "Precious Person" on the show's soundtrack. Jung Kyung Ho continued appearing on various soundtracks throughout the decade that followed, then sang "Red Carpet" on Pride & Prejudice, the fourth album from South Korean rapper Outsider, in 2015. Four years later, he starred as a doomed composer in When the Devil Calls Your Name, earning a nomination for "Top Excellence Award" at the 12th Korea Drama Awards and singing multiple songs on the show's soundtrack. He later recorded his own version of Sanullim's 1982 hit "Reminisce" for the popular medical TV series Hospital Playlist 2 in 2021.
