Kenta Maeno

Kenta Maeno is a Japanese rock singer, writer and composer who has built up a reputation amongst his fans as an edgy, alternative to the more sanitised pop stars who are a feature of Japanese popular music. He released his debut single 'Romance Car' on his own label in 2007 followed by his debut album 'Sasamishidori' in 2009. The artist rose to prominence in Japan after starring in the award -winning cult documentary 'Live Tape', a gritty reportage filmed guerrilla-style in and around the streets of Kichijoji, Tokyo. During his career Kenta has continued to successfully straddle the world of music and film, most notably as the lead character in the 2016 film 'Hentaida'. As well as his work in music and film Kenta is a popular broadcaster and DJ and has also been involved in writing books and plays.
