KenTheMan

Kentavia Miller, born in 1994 in Houston, Texas, known by her professional alias KenTheMan, is an American rapper. Her formative musical influences included iconic artists such as Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Tupac, and Eminem, with Miller citing a particular admiration for Lil Wayne's clever wordplay and metaphorical lyrics. Initially adopting 'Ken' as her stage name, she changed it to KenTheMan in order to set herself apart from others. Following her high school graduation, KenTheMan pursued college education but eventually dropped out, later re-enrolling in music courses, believing that the discomfort of the academic approach would help her become a better musician. However, she dropped out once again, pledging that she would return if her aspirations as a rapper didn't pan out. After a few failed attempts, it was the song "He Be Like," (2020) which marked her first success as an artist, subsequently becoming the lead single from her debut album titled 4 da 304's in 2020. Building on her initial success, KenTheMan released her second studio album titled What's My Name (2021). The record was recognised by Rolling Stone as the 16th best hip-hop album of the year which saw her selected as a member of the 2022 Freshman Class in the American Hip Hop magazine XXL, alongside other notable artists like Nardo Wick, Doechii, Kali, and Saucy Santana. Following the release of new singles, "No Panties" and "Join Em," KenTheMan dropped the track "Not My N*gga" in 2022, which served as the first single from her 2023 album Back to 304’n and landed her at number 36 on the Top 40 Radio Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop charts.
