Kings Kaleidoscope

Genre-defying Kings Kaleidoscope are a faith based ten-piece band from Seattle. With an intriguing mix of analogue and electronic sounds the band is the pet project of singer-songwriter Chad Hill. Formed in 2010 at Mars Hill Church, band leader Gardner gathered together the ensemble in his quest to produce an orchestral pop group with an indie flavour blended with hip-hop influences. The band's first EP was a live recording titled Sin, released in 2011 followed a year later by the studio EP, Asaph's Arrows. As well as commitments to the band, Gardner was a faith leader at the church which spawned the group and in 2013 he announced he was breaking away from the Mars Hill in-house record label. The band were signed by Seattle-based Bad Christian records, a label belonging to hard core Christian rockers Emery. After releasing the fourth Kings Kaleidoscope EP, Live in Colour the band collaborated with indie label Tooth and Nail along with Bad Christian and released the long awaited debut album Becoming Who We are in 2014.
