Kyuhyun

Cho Kyuhyun (조규현), known professionally as Kyuhyun, was born on February 3, 1988, in Seoul, South Korea. Initially intending to pursue law as a career, his passion for singing triumphed over his studies and in 2006, Kyuhyun joined the SM Entertainment agency, commencing training in dance and music, studying for a degree in post-modern music to meet his father's expectations. His 2016 thesis focused on K-Pop, an industry in which he had become one of the most significant figures. A decade earlier, Kyuhyun joined the band Super Junior, where he served as the maknae, the youngest member. The band achieved numerous successes, securing multiple Number one hits in the South Korean album charts with releases like Bonamana (2010), Mr. Simple (2011), Sexy, Free & Single (2012), Mamacita (2014), Play (2017), Time Slip (2019), and The Renaissance (2021). Additionally, Kyuhyun is part of sub-units Junior-M and Super Junior-K.R.Y., as well as SM The Ballad, representing the best voices of his label. Kyuhyun also works as a radio host and has ventured into acting, starring in musicals such as The Three Musketeers (2011). His debut solo single, "At Gwanghwamun" (광화문에서), entered the South Korean charts at number 2, and the subsequent EP with the same title reached Number 1, repeating this feat a year later, Fall, Once Again. In 2016, Kyuhyun released top 5 single "Waiting, Still" before recording his first studio album, One Voice, which immediately topped the charts in Japan. After his two single albums, Goodbye for Now (2017) and The Day We Meet Again (2019), both landed at number 3, Kyuhyun unveiled Love Story (4 Season Project 季) in 2022, reaching number 4 in South Korea. In the following year, he collaborated with Jung Eun-ji on the song titled "Still Our Love Continue" (우리 사랑 이대로) from the South Korean film My Love, unveiling EP Restart in January, 2024, which climbed to number 8.
