Luciano Pereyra

Argentine singer-songwriter Luciano Ariel Pereyra was born on September 21, 1981, in Luján, Buenos Aires Province. His musical journey began at the age of three after receiving his first guitar. His early exposure to music led him to participate in a television program on the former ATC network in 1985 and later, at age nine, he was a finalist on the children's show Festilindo, which launched many of Argentina's recognized actors and singers. Luciano Pereyra's career took a significant leap in 1998 with the release of his first album, Amaneciendo, a mix of zamba, carnavalito, vals, chacarera, and ballads. His breakthrough hit, "Soy un Inconsciente," helped him achieve quadruple platinum status with 260,000 copies sold. In 2000, his performance of the León Gieco classic "Sólo Le Pido a Dios" in front of Pope John Paul II at the Vatican brought him international recognition. Throughout his career, Luciano has released several successful albums, including Recordándote (2000) and Soy Tuyo (2002), which saw him explore bolero and tango. His notable performances include singing the Argentine National Anthem at Diego Maradona's tribute match in 2001 and acting in films like Tus Ojos Brillaban. Over the years, he shifted towards a Latin pop sound with albums like Dispuesto a Amarte (2006) featuring the hit "Porque Aún Te Amo." Released in 2012, Con Alma de Pueblo saw him returning to his folkloric roots with collaborations from notable artists like Horacio Guarany. In 2015, Luciano Pereyra contributed to the Copa América anthem and continued to make significant impacts, including participating as a judge at the 2020 Viña del Mar Festival. De Hoy en Adelante, his tenth studio effort, arrived in 2022 and featured guest spots by Greeicy, Alejandro Fernández, Los Ángeles Azules, Denise Rosenthal, Nacho, and Lang Lang. It was followed by Hasta el Alma in 2024.
