Maria Nadim

Born on November 4, 1995, in Morocco, Maghrebi pop singer Maria Nadim rose to national attention after taking part in the fourth season of the reality singing competition The X Factor Arabia in 2015. Her participation in the show helped her gain popularity throughout the Arab world and build a substantial fanbase on social media, quickly accumulating over 1 million followers. "I Wanna Be Free," her debut single, was released in 2016 and served as Morocco's entry on the first edition of the Mediterraneanvision Song Contest held in Kalamata, Greece, in 2018. After finishing in ninth place on the competition, Maria Nadim featured alongside Asma Lmnawar, Dounia Batma, Douzi, Eko, Fnaïre, H-Kayne, Hatim Ammor, and Issam Kamal on the single "#happybirthdaysidna," a collaborative track to celebrate the birthday of King Mohammed VI. Over the the next few years, she put her focus back on her solo career, releasing the singles "Daddy" (2020), "Ana Wiyak" (2021) with Anthony Touma, "Liyam" (2022), and "Sayyi" (2022).
