Max Schneider, known by the stage name MAX, launched his entertainment career on Broadway, singing in the musical 13 before honing his craft as a YoungArts Theater Winner in Miami. Born in Manhattan, New York City on 21 June 1992 and raised in Woodstock, New York, he released his debut EP First Encounters in 2010 and co-wrote songs for TV including 2012's "Show You How to Do" with Ben Charles for the Disney hit show Shake It Up. He also wrote the song "Standing in China," which was featured on Cody Simpson's album Paradise that same year. 2015 saw the release of his debut album NWL and in 2016, MAX released the LP Hell's Kitchen Angel featuring the single "Lights Down Low," which went double-platinum in the US and Canada and propelled the release of his third album Colour Vision (2020). Alongside his songwriting career, MAX has worked as an actor, starring in NBC drama series Crisis and playing the role of Van Dyke Parks in Brian Wilson biopic Love & Mercy. He unveiled his fourth studio album Love in Stereo in February 2024, which resulted in several singles including "Say Less" featuring Duckwrth and "Stupid in Love" featuring Huh Yun-jin, which was a moderate hit in Japan.
