OK Kid

OK Kid is a German indie and hip-hop band who first appeared as Jona:S in 2006. Their current name is an amalgam of the two Radiohead albums OK Computer and Kid A, formed by rapper and frontman Jonas Schubert and his band members at a hip-hop workshop in 2006. After various line-up changes, OK Kid released their debut self-titled album in 2013, which reached number 43 in the German album charts. In the same year, they appeared on WDR Rockpalast and played at several festivals. The Grundlos EP reached number 39 in the German charts in 2014, with the follow-up album Zwei arriving in 2016. The album reached number 6 in Germany and Austria. In 2018, OK Kid launched their own festival, Stadt ohne Meer, with Faber and Trettmann among the performers. Their third album Sensation was also released in 2018 and reached number 15 in the German album charts, with the follow-up Woodkids emerging in 2019. Three years later, they released another album, Drei (number 7 in Germany). In 2024, OK Kid released their sixth studio album, Endlich wieder da es beginnt. The LP climbed to number 5 in Germany.
