Orange Blossom

Since 1993, Orange Blossom—who hail from the Nantes region of France—havw been combining electronic music with global music, in particular African vocals and percussion, to champion a worldbeat sound. Their first album, Orange Blossom (1997), featured singer Jay C, while their next, Everything Must Change (2005), welcomed the arrival of singer Leïla Bounous. Noticed by Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant, who invited the band to support him on tour, Orange Blossom reappeared in 2012 with a new singer, Hend Ahmed Hassan, featured on the album Under the Shade of Violets (2014), which continued to cross genres. Three years later, the group resurfaced in the realm of film soundtracks, scoring Louis Meunier's feature film Kabullywood (2017). Remaining silent during the Covid-19 pandemic, Orange Blossom delivered the fruit of live studio sessions in 2022 with the album Live Sessions (2022), followed by a new original album, Spells from the Drunken Sirens (2024), which ranked 137th in the SNEP chart in France.
