Prezioso

Giorgio Prezioso (February 23, 1971), known mononymously as Prezioso, is an Italian DJ and producer of house music, Italodance, and techno. Born in Rome, he took his first steps in music at the age of 16 and then went on to win the Walky Cup competition in 1991, landing a DJ and co-host gig on the Radio Deejay station. In 1999, he and his older brother Andrea joined forces with vocalist Alessandro “Marvin” Moschini and formed the trio Prezioso & Marvin, which dominated the dance charts not only in Italy but also in countries like Germany and the United Kingdom with summer anthems such as 1999’s “Tell Me Why.” Following his exit from the group in 2006, Prezioso founded the short-lived duo Giorgio Prezioso & Libex with DJ Libex and released two solo albums (Prezioso in Action, Vol. 1 & 2, named after his own radio show) between 2009 and 2010. In the subsequent years, he rejoined Prezioso & Marvin and continued to collaborate closely with artists from all genres, including fellow disc-jockey Ninni Angemi (2014’s “Brakeless”), rapper Fabri Fibra (2015’s “Alza il Volume”), and Eiffel 65’s Gabry Ponte, with whom he released the 2021 single “Thunder.”
