Provinz

Provinz is an indie-pop band from Vogt, Germany, formed in 2017. The band spawned from the musical collaboration of singer and guitarist Vincent Waizenegger and keyboardist Robin Schmid, who had already been working on music for a long time under the band name twice. Soon, bassist Moritz Bösing and drummer Leon Sennewald joined the group and they officially adopted the moniker Provinz. The group started acquiring popularity as they played various shows and music competitions, which soon earned them a record deal with Warner Music in 2019. Provinz released their first single “Neonlicht“ in March 2019, which was followed by their debut EP Reicht Dir Das, recorded by producer Tim Tautorat. This was followed by more touring, TV appearances, and sets at various notable music festivals. Their profile grew even further with the release of their debut full-length album Wir Bauten Uns Amerika on August 14th, 2020. That same year, Provinz was awarded the 1 Live Krone Award for Best Newcomer Act. In 2021, the group released the single “Liebe Zu Dritt,” a commercial and critical success for the band. The catchy, upbeat pop song quickly became one of their most streamed songs on streaming platforms.
