Real Boston Richey

Real Boston Richey is the stage name of American rapper Jalen Foster, who rose to prominence in the 2020s with a style indebted to the Michigan hip-hop scene. Born on February 4, 1997, in Tallahassee, Florida, he didn’t begin his musical career until after his cousin's death in 2021. Encouraged by a friend to enter a studio and begin recording, the first track he laid down under his stage name was 2021’s “Big Y.I.C.” That single was followed by “Bullseye,”, “Keep Dissing,” and “Certified Stripper,” all of which led to Real Boston Richey becoming one of the most popular rappers in the area. He then signed to fellow rapper Future’s FreeBandz label and released the mixtape Public Housing in August 2022. Featuring appearances from Future, Moneybagg Yo, Lil Crix, Kodak Black, and Lil Durk, Public Housing reached the Top 40 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart and Number 60 on the Billboard 200. In 2023, Real Boston Richey returned with a second instalment titled Public Housing, Pt. 2, which shared many of the features in Public Housing and climbed to Number 38 on the US pop charts. In September of the same year, he released his debut full-length studio album titled Welcome To Bubba Land, which landed at number 94 on the Top 200 Albums Chart.
