Safetysuit

Hailing from Tulsa, Oklahoma, the alternative rock band SafetySuit formed in 2002 under the original name "Crew." Vocalist/guitarist Doug Brown, bassist Jeremy Henshaw, and drummer Tate Cunningham had met while attending Oral Roberts University, and they relocated the band to Nashville, Tennessee, following the release of Crew's debut EP, Day After Yesterday, in 2003. Two additional EPs — 2003's Crew EP and 2006's Stay — were released under the Crew moniker before the group adopted a new name, SafetySuit, and signed a major-label deal with Universal. Life Left To Go, the group's full-length debut album, was released in 2007, with the songs "Someone Like You" and "Stay" both becoming Top 30 hits on Billboard's Adult Top 40 Airplay chart. Although the album itself stalled at Number 173 on the Billboard 200, the band returned in 2012 with a sophomore release, These Times, which debuted at Number 7 on the Billboard 200, Number 3 on the US Rock chart, and Number 1 on the US Digital chart. The record's biggest single, "Let Go," became another Top 40 hit on Adult Top 40 Airplay, where it peaked at Number 39. An EP, Hallelujah, was released that same year and featured the popular track "Never Stop (Wedding Version)," which reached Number 20 on the US Rock Digital chart and became a staple of wedding playlists. Lead guitarist Dave Garofalo, who had joined the lineup in 2004, left SafetySuit in 2017, one year after the band released its self-titled third album. During the years that followed, SafetySuit often released standalone singles like 2018's "Feels" and 2019's "Stuck to You."
