SG Wannabe

SG Wannabe is a South Korean vocal group, formed in 2004 with members Kim Yong-jun, Kim Jin-ho, and initially Chae Dong-ha. The group made their debut with the single "Timeless," which was a smash hit. It was included as part of the album SG Wanna Be+ (2004), which achieved immediate success by winning Best New Artist at the Golden Disc Awards, Seoul Music Awards, and SBS Gayo Daejeon. The following year, the group followed this up by releasing their chart-topping second album Saldaga (2005), which became the best-selling album of the year in South Korea and won Album of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards. Their success continued with The 3rd Masterpiece in 2006 and The Sentimental Chord in 2007, both of which also achieved pole position in South Korea. In 2008, the group had a lineup change when Chae Dong-ha left the group, and Lee Seok-hoon joined. The group continued to release successful albums such as My Friend (2008) and Gift from SG Wannabe (2009). However, they went on hiatus in 2011 due to personal challenges and military service requirements for the members. SG Wannabe returned in 2015 with the EP The Voice. They continued this momentum with Our Days in 2016. After another brief break, they reunited in 2018 with the single "Let's Meet Up Now." In 2021, SG Wannabe appeared on Hangout with Yoo, leading to a significant resurgence in popularity. They released the single "You're The Best of Me" in 2021.
