Torrey Carter

US R&B artist Torrey Carter (born on April 15, 1980 in Grand Rapids, Michigan), better known by his nickname T.C., entered the music industry after signing to Missy Elliott's label The Goldmind Inc. in 1999. He began recording his debut album, The Life I Live, in 2000 and dropped a debut single. Featuring guest vocals from Elliott, "Take That" charted at Number 87 but failed to drum up mainstream attention for the album. Ultimately, Carter was dropped from Elliott's label and the album was shelved. He went on to work behind-the-scenes as a producer, co-writing Nina Sky's song, "Building a Vibe" and made an appearance on the 2010 mixtapes of NYC hip-hopper Shawneci, Icecold Collection Vol. 1–2. In 2012 Carter released new single "ReBirth" via iTunes and Amazon. In December 2017, he was arrested on drug charges in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
