Zack Knight

Born November 22, 1991 in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England, the British and Pakistani singer/songwriter Zack Knight built a career by mixing modern R&B sounds with more traditional Middle Eastern influences, and wrapping it together with winning pop hooks. He established himself as a songwriter in 2007 by penning Gunuwine’s hit “Baby (Dil Deewana)” an R&B track with a strong hip-hop flavor under the pen name Zeekay. He dropped his debut single, “My Moment” in 2008 and continued to write for and produce others while working on his own material. He reverted to his given name in 2010, and also infused more pop hooks into his compositions, a combination that could be heard on singles like 2012’s “All Over Again” and “Who I Am”. In 2014 he began working in Asian pop music with tracks like “Looking for Love” and “Nakhre”. Their success laid the groundwork for his biggest hit, “Born Diggy”. The song was so successful it was utilized in a Bollywood film, and Zack Knight continued to score hits in the UK with R&B tracks such as “Love Controller”, and “Tears”. His remixes of his own and others hits, which often incorporate Asian influences, often appeared on his social media. His sonic experimentations continued in 2021 with the Jenade Miah and Kayes Rashid collaboration “Para Rum Pa”. His popularity was such that in 2021 he topped the Indian charts again with “Born Diggy”.
