Zhoumi

Zhou Mi (born on April 19, 1986) is a Chinese songwriter, actor, and MC, mostly known for his involvement with Chinese boy band Super Junior-M and South Korean ballad group SM The Ballad. An accomplished singer, Mi participated in several competitions during his teenage years, receiving many prizes and accolades for his talents. In 2008, he joined Super Junior-M, with whom he released the albums Me (2008), Break Down (2013), and the EPs Super Girl (2009), Perfection (2011), and Swing (2014). Following his addition to SM The Ballad and the subsequent release of the Breath EP in 2014, Mi kicked off his solo career with the Rewind, his studio debut, that same year. Propelled by the title track’s infectious pop groove, the album peaked at Number 5 on South Korea’s Gaon Weekly Album Chart and Number 12 on Billboard’s World Albums. Mi followed up with What's Your Number? (2016), a concise sophomore effort that alternated between funky dance tracks (“What’s Your Number?”) and anthemic ballads (“Empty Room”). The EP proved just as successful as its predecessor, climbing up to Number 7 on the Gaon Album Charts and consolidating Mi’s status as one of the most popular figures in K-Pop. The singer’s winning streak continued in the following years with “The Lonely Flame” (2018), “Starry Night” (2020), and “I’ll Be There” (2020), an homage to all the people working on the frontline during the coronavirus pandemic in his native Wuhan.
