Zion. T

The South Korean rapper, singer, and songwriter Zion.T was born as "Kim Hae-sol" on April 13, 1989. Raised in Seoul, he released his debut single, "Click Me," in April 2011. The song was a collaboration with Dok2, and Zion.T collaborated with numerous artists that same year, appearing on songs by Video Lock ("She's There"), Crucial Star ("It's My Turn"), and Simon D ("Stay Cool"). "Stay Cool" reached number 22 on the Gaon Digital Chart, giving Zion.T his first taste of Top 40 success. One year later, he appeared on the Primary song "? (물음표)," which peaked at number 6. Zion.T's real breakthrough, however, arrived in 2013, when he released the full-length solo album Red Light. The record reached number 4 in South Korea and featured two Top 20 singles: "Two Melodies," which charted at number 17, and "Babay," which reached number 9. Zion.T released an EP, Mirrorball, in December 2013 and earned his first Number 1 hit with the non-album single "Yanghwa Bridge" in 2014. The following year found him reaching Number 1 with "데자-부 (Déjà-Boo)" (a duet with Jonghyun), "Eureka" (a duet with Zico), "Just" (a collaboration with Crush), and "No Make Up." "The Song" and "Snow" both charted at Number 1 in 2017, the same year Zion.T released the EP OO. Another EP, ZZZ, followed in 2018. Zip, his second full-length album, appeared in 2023, debuting at number 5 on the South Korean Albums chart.
