Com Truise

Com Truise is the stage name of Seth Haley, a synthwave DJ best known for the hit single "4 Morant (Better Luck Next Time)" as well as the viral song "Cynide Sisters." A New York native, Haley was born in Madison County in 1985. He began releasing dance music in 2007, operating under the aliases of Sarin Sunday, SYSTM, and Airliner before adopting the "Com Truise" moniker in 2010. That year also marked the release of his debut EP, Cyanide Sisters, whose electronic textures were heavily influenced by the 1980s. The indie label Ghostly International reissued Cyanide Sisters in early 2011, and Haley quit his job as an art director to focus on music full-time. Cyanide Sisters' lyrics told the story of a space traveller named Com Truise, and the rest of his releases continued that narrative. Fairlight, his second EP, was also released in early 2011, with the full-length studio album Galactic Melt following that summer. In Decay, a compilation of unreleased material and songs that previously appeared on Haley's early mixtapes, was released in July 2012. Com Truise's third EP, Wave 1, was released in 2014 and became his first album to chart, peaking at number 7 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and number 6 on Heatseekers Albums. 2016's Silicon Tare charted, too, reaching number 4 on Top Dance/Electronic Albums. One year later, Com Truise's second album, Iteration, continued the artist's hit streak, reaching the Top 10 of the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart while also peaking at number 26 on the UK's Dance Albums chart. 2019's Persuasion System was similarly successful, as well was the 2020 compilation album In Decay, Too. The EP Brokendate followed in 2023 and produced Com Truise's first successful single, "4 Morant (Better Luck Next Time)," which debuted at number 50 on the Dance/Electronic Songs chart in America.
