Mutya Keisha Siobhan

The British pop trio Mutya Keisha Siobhan, often shortened to MKS, takes its name from the first names of each member of the group: Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy. The three first came together as the original members of the British girl group Sugarbabies in the late 90s. Over the course of the 21st century’s first decade, each of them would leave and be replaced in that group, leading the trio to form a new group together in 2012. Their debut single “Flatline”, co written with Dev Hynes, who also produced the song’s recording session, served up an R&B inflected pop sound and climbed to number 50 in their home country. A brief tour followed in 2013, but then there was a abrupt stop to their public appearances. Though they continued to claim they were working together and mentioned the names of several new songs, an album never materialized. By the end of the decade, rumors began to swell that trio would release new material under the old Sugarbabies moniker.
