Oxxxymiron

Oxxxymiron (real name – Miron Fyodorov), a Russian rap and hip-hop artist, was born in Leningrad, USSR, on January 31st, 1985. At the age of 9, together with his family, Miron emigrated to Germany and later – to the United Kingdom. He experimented with hip-hop and rap since the early ‘00s. After his graduation from Oxford University, Fyodorov started to write music under the name Oxxxymiron. In 2008, he recorded a track « Лондон против всех » ("London Against All") and was noticed by the Optik Russia music label. His first video « Я хейтер » ("I Am a Hater") had been released the same year. In 2010, together with another rapper, Schokk, he founded his own label Vagabund and released his first studio album Вечный жид (The Wandering Jew), well-received by critics and public. Oxxxymiron’s Internet releases MiXXXtape I (2012) and MiXXXtape II: Долгий путь домой (MiXXXtape II: Long Way Home) (2013) included his best tracks from 2008 to 2013. GQ Magazine named the rapper 'Discovery of the Year' in 2012. In 2015, Oxxxymiron recorded the track « Лондонград » (Londongrad) for the TV series of the same name (inspired by his own life in London) and released his second album Горгород (Gorgorod) that became one of the top albums of the year in Russia. In November 2021, after the 6-years break, Oxxxymiron came back with the video « Кто убил Мара? » ("Who Killed Mark?") and his new compilation MiXXXtape III: Смутное время (MiXXXtape III: Time of Troubles). Oxxxymiron takes part in Russian and international rap battles since 2001.
