Landy

Born Dylan Sylla Gahoussou, French rapper Landy first jumped into the limelight with a series of freestyles in the last part of the 2010s. Hailing from Saint-Denis, Gahoussou’s tough yet melodic delivery put him at the forefront of the city’s thriving hip-hop scene. He made his official debut in 2017 with the freestyles “Le Fruit” and “Vaisseau mère.” In 2018, the accompanying video for the single “Skalape” hit a million views on the rapper’s video streaming channel and he landed a feature on Sofiane’s 93 Empire project on the track “Nouvelle monnaie.” His studio debut Assa Baing dropped in 2019 and featured collaborations with Heuss l’Enfoiré, Jul, Dadju, Marwa Loud, and Naza. The album sold 6,000 copies in the first week of its release, and paved the way for further singles “Aucune limite,” “Filon,” and “Millions d’euros,” which teased the arrival of the Saint-Denis MC’s sophomore effort, A-One, in 2020.
