Lee Mujin

A chart-topping vocalist from South Korea, Lee Mu-jin was born in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on December 28, 2000. He made his musical debut in 2018 with an appearance on the Goyang Voice soundtrack, where he performed the song "Sanchaek." Although the single failed to chart in South Korean, Mu-jin became a household name two years later, when he auditioned for the televised singing competition Sing Again. He finished in third place and effectively relaunched his recording career with "Traffic Light," his first single to appear after his time on the show. Released in 2021, "Traffic Light" was written by Lee Mu-jin and showcased his blend of pop, folk, and jazz influences, which proved to be a popular combination. The song climbed to Number 1 on both the Gaon Digital Chart and the K-Pop Hot 100 in South Korea, where it was later certified platinum. Mu-Jim remained active throughout the year, earning additional Top 40 hits like "Fall in Fall" (Number 14), the Heize duet "When It Snows" (Number 6), and the Hospital Playlist Season 2 soundtrack song "Rain and You" (Number 11). He also won three Melon Music Awards in 2021 — including "Rookie of the Year" and "Best OST Award" — and received three nominations at the Korean Music Awards in 2022. Meanwhile, Lee Mu-jin continued releasing songs on various soundtracks, with the radio hits "I Miss You" and "Three of Us" both appearing on the 2022 soundtrack to the musical talk show show You Hee-yeol's Sketchbook.
