The South Korean pop singer Minhyuk was born in Seoul on November 3, 1993. He joined the boy band Monsta X in 2015, following his successful run on the Mnet television show No.Mercy. An immediate sensation in South Korea, Monsta X dominated the GAON Album chart with albums like Take.1 Are You There?, Take.2 We Are Here, and Fatal Love, all of which peaked at Number 1. After releasing a pair of Japanese-language albums, the group moved into the American market with 2020's All About Luv, an English-language album that featured three of Minhyuk's own compositions. Later that year, he teamed up with fellow bandmate Shownu to record a popular duet, "Have a Goodnight," for the She's My Type soundtrack.
