Seiler und Speer

Seiler und Speer, an Austrian comedy pop duo featuring actor/comedian Christopher Seiler and film-maker Bernhard Speer, formed in 2014. They became famous with the creation of the cult comedy character Anton Horvath, an unemployed dungaree-wearing drunkard, played onscreen by Seiler, who is being filmed for a fictional documentary by a reporter played by Speer. Early episodes were released online and received millions of views. This social satire of the everyman also became a strong lyrical feature of their musical output, which quickly went from side project to sell-out concerts following the Number 1 hit “Ham Kummst”, a song describing the ending of a relationship between an alcoholic and his wife. Seiler und Speer's debut album of the same name was released in April 2015 and reached the top of the Austrian Album Charts. “Soits Leben” was another successful track from the album, reaching Number 10 in the Singles Chart. Second album Und Weida? followed in 2017, also reaching the Number 1 album position and featuring the tracks “I Kenn Di Vo Wo” and “I Was Made”. They released their third album, Für immer, in May 2019, preceded by the singles “Ois Ok”, “Ala Bin”, and “Herr Inspektor”. In 2021 they released the single “Hödn”, which became their 7th single to crack the top 20.
