Soccer Mommy

Sophie Allison, better known publicly as Soccer Mommy, is an American singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Initially building a reputation by releasing songs on Bandcamp for free in 2015, she was quickly snapped up by Fat Possum Records in 2017, who released a collection of the best of her early tracks (simply titled 'Collection') before releasing her debut record 'Clean' in 2018. Having been in the process of studying music business at New York University, she dropped out from her studies to focus on her career. Allison states she is influenced by pop music, and cites the likes of Avril Lavigne and Taylor Swift as influences, and she certainly shares their knack for relatable and honest lyrics. After tours with the likes of Phoebe Bridgers, Paramore and Kacey Musgraves (the latter of which often brought her onstage for a playful cover of *NSync's 'Tearin' Up My Heart'), Allison released her second full-length album, 'Color Theory', in 2020.
