Sumika are a Japanese rock band formed in Kawasaki in 2013 by singer-guitarist Kenta Kataoka, guitarist Junnosuke Kuroda, keyboard player Takayuki Ogawa and drummer Tomoyuki Arai. They released their first mini-album, 'Shinsekai Orichalcum', that year followed by 'I Co Y' (2014), 'Vital Apartment' (2015) and 'Answer Parade' (2016) and an EP titled 'Sally (2016). Their debut full album, 'Familia', came out in 2017. Tracks from the release feature on the anime movie 'I Want to Eat Your Pancreas'. Hit singles in Japan include 'Fiction' (2018) and 'Fanfate/Shunkashuutou' (2018) and they released 'Equal/Traveling' in June 2019. Their 2019 schedule was to include appearances in Osaka including Osaka Gigantic Rock Fest 2019.
