Tim Timmons

Born on February 9, 1976 in Irvine, California, Tim Timmons is a contemporary Christian and worship singer, songwriter and musician. He became interested in music as a child, learning to play the drums when he was seven and graduated to guitar and songwriting at the age of 11. . He turned professional in his early 20s, co-writing songs with Phillip LaRue (LaRue), Michael Farren (Pocket Full of Rocks), Mike Doheny (Tenth Avenue North), and others. At the same time, he was serving as a worship leader at Mariners Church in Irvine, California. In June 2001, he was diagnosed with inoperable cancer and told he only had five years to live. Ten years later, after devoting himself to his family and his worship duties and outliving his cancer diagnosis, he turned his attention to creating music. Signing with Reunion Records, he released his debut album Cast My Cares in 2013. The album reached Number 13 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart. His sophomore album, Awake Our Souls, was released in 2015 and reached Number 27 on the chart. His next release, the independently-released children’s album Who I Am, was released in 2017. That same year, he released the holiday-themed Mighty Christmas EP. In 2018, Tim Timmons released the single “I Belong”, a duet with Christian music icon Amy Grant. He issued the single “You Never Let Go” (featuring Tammi Haddon) in 2020. His next single, “This is the Day”, was released in January, 2021.
