Dasom

Kim Da-som (May 6, 1993), better known by her stage name Dasom, is a South Korean singer who rose to fame as one-fourth of the girl group Sistar, managed by Starship Entertainment. She is also an accomplished actress and has appeared in several feature films and TV shows. Born in the city of Gwangju, Dasom started writing poems and songs from a very early age, winning several contests in her youth. In 2010, she made her debut as a member of Sistar with the single “Push Push.” With Sistar, Dasom went on to become one of South Korea’s biggest pop stars, releasing two studio albums and scoring several Number 1 hits before the group’s disbandment in 2017. That same year, she made her official debut as a solo artist with the single “You & I” featuring 40 and won an SBS Drama Award for her involvement on the TV show Band of Sisters. In 2021, Dasom released the single “Summer or Summer” with fellow singer Hyolyn, reaching Number 94 on the Gaon Charts and Number 24 on Billboard’s World Albums chart.
