Juha Tapio

Born in Vaasa, Finland on February 5, 1974, Juha Tapio has become one of Finland’s most popular singer/songwriters. His first two albums – Tuulen valtakunta (1999) and Tästä kaikesta (2001) – were aimed at the contemporary Christian music market but his third album, Mitä silmät ei nää (2003), was aimed at a more mainstream audience and proved to be his commercial breakthrough. The album entered the Top 10 on the Finnish Albums chart and was certified gold. The success of the album paved the way for 2005’s Ohikiitävää, which just missed the Top 10, and two albums that climbed to the Number 2 position on the albums chart: Kaunis Ihminen (2006) and Suurenmoinen Elämä (2008). Over the next decade, four of his seven albums reached Number 1 on the chart: Hyvä voittaa (2011), Sinun vuorosi loistaa (2015), Loistava kokoelma (2016), and Kuka näkee sut (2018). In 2021, Juha Tapio released the single "Valitsisin sut", his first new music since the 2019 album Pieniä taikoja.
