Pariisin Kevät

Electronic indie rock band Pariisin Kevät was founded in Helsinki, Finland in 2006 by Arto Tuunela (formerly a member of the band Major Label). Initially a solo project, Pariisin Kevät released their debut album, Meteoritti, in 2008. The album was a success, reaching Number 12 on the Finnish Albums chart. Two years later, their sophomore album Astronautti also reached the Number 12 position on the albums chart while the single “Tämän kylän poikii” reached Number 4. With the success of the first two albums, Arto Tuunela formed a band in order to take his music on the road. After recruiting guitarists Artturi Taira and Antti Pouta, keyboardist Ilari Kivelä, bassist Jussi Hietala, and drummer Reko Aho, Pariisin Kevät became a popular live band. The group’s next album, Kaikki on satua (2012), reached Number 2 and spawned the hit singles “Saari” and “Kasäyo”. The group’s next two albums – Jossain on tie ulos (2013) and Musta laatikko (2015) – also reached Number 2 on the Finnish Albums chart. Their 2017 album Kuume was their first to reach the Number 1 position on the chart and was followed by Reuna (2019), which hit Number 4.
